Carolina Wildlife Sponsorship Campaign

Carolina Wildlife Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of North Carolina’s native wildlife. As our sanctuary continues to grow, we are launching a sponsorship campaign to help fund three critical projects that will enhance the care we provide for our wild patients and ambassadors: a new turtle enclosure, a chimney swift tower, and a new songbird enclosure.

Why These Projects Matter

Turtle Enclosure – Many of our rescued turtles require long-term care due to injuries from car strikes, habitat destruction, and other human-related threats. A larger, more specialized enclosure will allow us to house and rehabilitate these turtles in a safe and naturalistic environment, increasing their chances of successful release.

Chimney Swift Tower – Chimney Swifts are declining due to habitat loss, as modern buildings and chimneys no longer provide suitable nesting sites. Our sanctuary hosts a flock of Chimney Swifts each summer, and this tower will provide a permanent, protected home for both our released patients and migrating swifts in need of shelter.

Songbird Enclosure – Injured and orphaned songbirds require specialized housing to regain their strength and flight capabilities before release. A new, larger enclosure will provide the space and resources necessary to ensure these birds receive the best possible care.
